I need a resolution of the following problem.

Here you can see that /home is full.So whenever I tried to take backups it fails.Because /home is full.I’ve worked with interworx control panel.In interworx we can specify the location of backup.Is there any method to specify the backup location so that I can take backups of the account and move it to another server and I can free more space.

My server has a HDD only for backup. I have a file of 2 GB in this HDD.
I need to download this file to my machine. Is there a way to download it directly?
I tried to transfer the file to the Master HDD, but the SERVER LOAD greatly increases and locks the server.
Anybody can help me, please?

Can anyone explain how I might go about backing up an entire (server/drive) to another one in the same machine – at regular intervals? (ie. cron)

Basically, the main hard-drive in the system has been a little unreliable lately, and I’d like to clone it (ie. WITHOUT compression/tars etc) so in the event of a failure, the 2nd drive could be swapped over and everything would run as usual.

Here’s the physical drives of the system:

hdb: ST3250820A, ATA DISK drive
hdc: SAMSUNG CD-ROM SC-148A, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive

Sorry for all the questions, but after researching on the web, and in this forum, I haven’t found a clear answer.. but I have learned that done incorrectly, I could seriously mess up the existing data.

I want to run a rsync command or sh file (as you wish) to backup all the data that’s in the /backup dir after cpbackup has finished. Another thing I would ask for an adive of a good rsync -(strings) command. Because I’m a bit confused.

I have cpanel backup running to a drive and now the resellers are not being backed up, but regular sites are, when I looked in the cpbackup folder I found tar files for all my sites and resellers plus folders for the resellers, and 0 byte files for them. The reseller tar files were 0 byte the others seem good I used one to restore a site and it worked find
The error I am getting is
