I have created KML files for use in Google Earth but if I try loading them I get an error:

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

Thinking this was a MIME problem, my .htaccess file looks like this:

addhandler application/vnd.google-earth.kml+xml .kml
addhandler application/vnd.google-earth.kmz .kmz
addhandler application/x-httpd-php .htm .html
AddHandler php-fastcgi .php

Still no joy.

What am I doing wrong here?
