Bluehost : catch all, google apps and wildcard aliases

This is a bluehost question posted by gotters on 03 November 2008

I know from looking through previous posts that catch all is a hot topic since bluehost removed it.

I dont want a catch all account but I desperately need a wildcard alias (almost a catchall). For example i need to setup an alias that looks something like this:
*_user@mydomain.org forwards to users@mydomain.org
So anyone of the following:
jon_user@mydomain.org,jack_user@mydo…r@mydomain.org
would all forward to users@mydomain.org

Since this really isnt a catchall and doesnt run the same risks I thought bluehost would be helpful – but no such luck. Every support guy has said the same thing “no”,”no”,”no”,”no”,”no”,”no”

Anyway so unless anyone has a better idea, i saw on this forum my only solution would be to use google apps and setup a standard catch all account there. The only problem is that I need the catch all to forward to a DIFFERENT domain (because ultimately i need to send these emails all to a php script, so i need to send it back to bluehost via my other domain hosted by them, and pipe it to a php script)
But it doesnt seem like I can forward to another domain via google apps.

Can anyone please help me. This is a big issue for my site!!
