This is a bluehost question posted by Hercules on 26 July 2007
Yesterday my site faced some outage and while on Live Chat the BH employe told me that maybe the daily backup caused the outage.
When I browse through my bandwith stats I often see a 30-40 mins of zero bandwith (complete downtime) between 00:00 and 02:00 server time.
The BH employe also told me ‘It’s 3TB of data to backup daily, what else do you expect’.
Is it normal for a server to go down at least 30 mins every day for a regular backup, or is there something elso going on at box 214?
