This is a bluehost question posted by dumdumsareyum on 16 June 2008

I have a site hosted on bluehost that I am trying to send mail with using php. The mail is hosted on an exchange server. The email I am trying to send from and to are both hosted on this server. When I can send from an account hosted on this exchange server, but not TO an account on this server. I thought it was something wrong with the mail server settings, but I tested it on a site I have through another hosting account and the emails are sent just fine. This led me to believe it was a hosting issue. I am using ini_set(SMTP, XXXX), however I noticed on the site through the other hosting company this need not be set at all and mail is still sent and received with the desired account. Also, when sending with the bluehost site, even though I have set the “from” email to be the desired email account on the exchange server, when a message is received on another account(like a gmail, yahoo, etc., not the one on the exchange server) it appears as being from a box for my user account on bluehost.com.
