I uploaded Joomla 1.0.9 and unzipped it OK. When I try to run the Joomla installation script it stalls at the MySQL DB creation step (“Error cannot access xxx@localhost”). I created a MySQL user and database using CPanel and then in PHPMyAdmin I imported some tables and data to check it works (it does).

Any ideas why I block on this new Joomla installation? What do I have to do to get it working?
