I’m a new bluehost subscriber, I joined a few weeks ago and so far I have been very happy with the service. Support has been great too!

Anyway, before I moved to bluehost, I made a backup on my old host which used plesk. I also moved most of my files to my desktop with good ole FTP. I signed up, moved all the files from my desktop, and had a smooth and fast changeover… or so I thought!

A few days ago, I tried to find an email that was sent to me but couldn’t find it. Checked everywhere, and then I tried to open the plesk backup file, no dice. Tried a few other apps, even tried a linux system of a freinds, absolutly no luck.

Is there any way to open the backup file made in plesk on a desktop windows system, or any other system?? I’m really at my whits end trying to get this open… is there a possibility someone in support can open it?? I realize it’s not quite a bluehost issue, but it would be nice to know their transfer directions apply to not just a few systems.
