I have been through many different tutorials and help pages and I can’t get RoR to work! Why can’t the .htaccess Rewrite logs work? How come the .htaccess rewrite don’t work in proxy mode?

I can start the mongrel server and get RoR queries using lynx locally but there is NO WAY I can redirect URLs in proxy mode. This is ridiculous!
