This is a bluehost question posted by katco on 22 August 2007

I had my first website done for me and it is up and running. I am trying to create a second website by myself with nvu. I went to the bluehost support page and it gave me this answer: Here is the publishing information you will need for NVU.

Click on publish:

Under Publish Tab:

Site Name:
Page Title:
Filename: index.html (if index.html is the name of your main home page)

Check the box that says: “Include images and other files”.

Under Settings Tab:

HTTP Address:

http://www.yourdomain.com/

Publishing Address:

ftp://yourdomain.com/www/

Username: yourusername (8 character short version of your domain)
Password: password for your hosting account

Now, the problem I’m having is this, I’ve tried that using website2 for both addresses, that didn’t work. I’ve tried it for http address website2 and publishing address website1, that didin’t work. I’m using the username and password that I have for my website1 account. Website2 is an addon. When I try to publish, I get a 530 login authentication failed. What am I doing wrong?
