Bluehost : Webdisk opens files read-only

This is a bluehost question posted by patriebo on 09 October 2008

When I open a file from the webdisk in for example Word, Excel, etc… it always opens as a read-only type file. Because it’s read-only I can’t save the changes to the file.

Does anybody knows why it’s opening as read-only and how I can prevent this? We are using standard Windows XP/Office 2003/2007 products.
