Drupal Hosts : Use views module and exposed checkbox

This is a drupal question asked by j0k3z on 07 July 2009

I have a node type called “Bars” and this node has text fields for daily specials: “monday”, “tuesday”, etc. where I can fill in things such as “$1 drafts, Half price appetizers” etc for each day of the week

I am trying to create a view that allows my website visitors to select a check box for whatever day they want and then the view returns only nodes that have text within that field.

So while on the views page I can check off Monday and then the view returns only nodes that have text in that field.

I thought this would be easy with exposed filters but they dont seem to work the way that I need. I tried adding one that said “is not empty” and expose it but that doesnt work.

Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction?
