Jawed Karim, a YouTube co-founder who left the video sharing site early on, is backing the company financially and sits on its board. On Monday, Sequoia Capital, the venture capital firm that gave birth to YouTube from its own offices (and made billions on its sale to Google) plans to announce that it is investing $4 million in TokBox in an effort to make the site the Web’s next big communication tool.
