This is the official hostgator announcement posted by GatorJamyn on 28 October 2007
I just wanted to post a quick note - we’re deploying a new mod_security ruleset on our shared servers today. While we do incremental updates on a fairly regular basis, I’ve rewritten a lot of the logic in our rules, so it’s worth making a public comment about it. This deployment really shouldn’t affect most of you, as the new rules and conditions are pretty specific, but it doesn’t hurt to make an announcement about it.
If you see issues with 503 errors that start as of today, and they didn’t previously happen, please PM or email me (jshanley@hostgator.com) so I can look at what caused the false positive. Thanks; have a good weekend everyone.
