I seem to be getting the same problems others are having in that www.sub.maindomain.com or www.addondomain.com give :

Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

www.sub.maindomain.com/afile.htm or www.addondomain.com/afile.htm brings up the files, justcan’t acces root or index files.

My main domain is working fine and i have a directory script PHPLD in it with it’s own .htaccess file. HG support are blaming this and giving me this response:

This is again due to mod_rewrite, please check your rules
[Tue May 16 12:00:30 2006] [error] [client 70.77.92.142] mod_rewrite: maximum number of internal redirects reached. Assuming configuration error. Use ‘RewriteOptions MaxRedirects’ to increase the limit if neccessary.

They say this cuased me not being able to verify a google sitemap on the addons and subs too. Fine on main domain though!

I’m not sure what to do. The addons and subs DID work fine in terms of the roots being found up to this week.

How can I try to fix this??

Any help greatfully received,
