gator4.hostgator.com had a complete hard drive failure today. The datacenter attempted to recover the drive but it is completely lost.

It’s going to be another hour before the server is backup with the new drive in place. At such time we will begin restoring everyone’s files / accounts off the backup hard drive that was in place. This process takes hours somewhere around 3+ hours.

We will keep this thread updated on our progress.

Please do not email us until the process has been completed. If you have any questions, comments, or venting do so in this thread.

And remember this is our business when your site is down we are down. The only difference is we have 100’s of angry people. A hard drive failure is one of those things that can’t be avoided….

We apologize for it, and will be working all night if we have to, to get everyone back online.
