Hey all. Didn’t want to hijack the previous thread on my first post on this board, but I have a question regarding a comment that was made about there being advantages of having the domain registration and hosting at seperate companies.

Is that a general consensus, or are there any difficulties that could come up as a result of that? I understand the delicate nature of the question, too, so be as unbiased as gatorly possible.

I’m about to start a forum using vBulletin, and I’m trying to do as much research as possible because I’m a total noob with this stuff, and I’d like to make as few mistakes as possible.
