I hope that somebody with experience in Addon domain will answer my query, much better if Gator staff will attend this one.

I am a happy and satisfied hostgator costumer with my Baby Hosting Package. As of the posting of this query, my site is using 171.46 Mb of disk and my available disk space is 614228.54 Mb. My mySQL didkspace is 12.42 Mb and I am in 1007.7 Mb of this month’s bandwidth.

Now, I am going to register a new domain and I am considering two options for the webhosting: (1) Should I use the same hosting package I am using now (usage as specified above), and use the Addon domain feature of my hosting package or (2) should I buy a new hosting package for this new domain.

If I use option (1), will it not harm my package for I will run multiple database in a shared hosting and is it not difficult to transfer my files to a separate hosting package if ever my second domain will be hit by thousand users while remaining my present files unaffected? If I use option (2) Am I not wasting money considering my usage. I am actually more inclined for option (1) but I am much bothered with the future of my account. Any advice please…
