I am intending to transfer my web host to HG and was told that I just simply need to change the DNS servers at my domain registrar after signing up. So how am i going to get it done?

Currently my domain status is “clientTransferProhibited” and by 19/07/2008, I should fufilled the so-called 2 months contract to change my web host. So should I sign up with HG now or should I wait after 19/07/2008?

I am totally new to all these and simply too confused.
