I just signed up for the new Alminium Reseller ac. I though I know many people who keep buying website hosting plans and domains. And I can easily get them to buy from my and thus keep making money year after year. But here is the shock:

1. No clear help page on how to setup my website up and running. I though hostgator would provide me some choices and then i pick up one template and upload the logo and update some text here and there and my website is up.

2. I thought that the website that would be set up in #1 would also allow me to define some custom plans (like in WHM plan creation) and give them my custom prices; which my customers can select and buy.

3. Also that the shopping cart etc would be taken care and i will never have to worry about it.

4. And that I just integrate it with my paypal account without much of my own efforts.

5. That….as the customers buy their accounts are set up automatically and i dont need to do anything.

In sum I was expecting it to be something that can be set just by clicking-clicking…in a few minutes and then i am ready to market it and focus on just marketing my website.

Making money is not easy. And I made a fool of myself. I will call the Host gator sales tomorrow to get my refund.
