Long story short: I’m currently paying for a dedicated box from totalchoicehosting.com and, to be frank, I’m not very impressed with their service; if my box isn’t going down every other week then it’s performing poorly. I woke up this morning to find my inbox was littered with over 1500+ database error emails simply because my projectego.net website had taken a nosedive while I was getting my beauty sleep. Replies to my support tickets can take anywhere up to two hours, too.

My site is still down. Now I’m looking to emigrate to HostGator. I just have a few quick questions since I’ve only ever been with one webhost:

How would I go about having my websites transferred to HostGator? Would you guys contact my old host and have it done for me? What’s the procedure? I have roughly 8 websites located on my dedicated server. If possible, could someone explain to me how I would go about this? I am eager to move immediately.
