This the second time (within about a month) that my web site’s SSL (AKA HTTPS) stops functioning, for now apparent reason.
I opened a ticket at 7:43 AM this morning. It is now 13:22 PM and… no response from HostGator support (yet). Needless to say, SSL functionality has not been restored.
What is going on? And why SSL that was installed successfully once, becomes dysfunctional on a monthly basis?
Please note that when I do move to a dedicated server (definitely in the plan), I will give highest consideration to the way a web host treats its shared hosting customers… There is no technical excuse for SSL to work better on dedicated servers than on shared hosting accounts.
