PHProjekt is essentially a modular application which is used for the coordination of group activities and to share information and documents via the web. PHProjekt is an open source software and supports many protocols like dap, xml/soap and webdav and is available for 38 languages and 9 databases. Its main components include Group calendar, project management, time card system, file management, contact manager, mail client, a forum, chat, notes, shared bookmarks, to-do lists, a voting system, and reminders and many other modules.

This groupware suite conveniently supports communication and management of teams and companies via an Intranet and the Internet. An API allows the integration of several available addons (e.g. Web shop, WAP suite, sync tools) or own applications. It is available for MySQL, Postgres, Interbase, Oracle, Informix and MS-SQL. It is free of redundant and other complicated features and makes a very useful tool for the team. As the name suggests, it is based on a PHP and MySQL system. PHProjekt has a project structure tree that can be subdivided into sub-projects, and unlimited tasks can be added to these.

PHProjekt requirements:

PHProjekt is written in the script language PHP and supports the data bases Mysql, Postgres, sqlite, oracle, informix and ms-sql. PHProjekt is compatible with many operating systems including Linux, Windows, Unix, OS/2, Solaris and many Web servers (e.g. Apache, IIS, SAM bar among others). It runs with all php4/5 versions in the basic form. A web server with a PHP Parser must be installed. For example; a LAMP and/or a WAMP system (Linux or Windows/Apache/MySQL/PHP). The user needs only a Browser (e.g. Firefox or Internet Explodierer) and the Javascript should be activated.
