This is my first post here, and I look forward to hearing what you all have to say.

I’m about to launch my first internet startup. In short, I’m looking for hosting and have no idea where to begin.

The application being launched uses a database and a lot of mapping. I’m expecting an initially server capacity of around 5000-10000 users. Maybe 200,000 views monthly? I have no idea what this means in the server world.

I’m going with a dedicated server, but how powerful of a machine should i get? Also, I’m in college, and am on a college budget. Though I will sacrifice money for reliability and quality.

I will need php, mysql, ssh access for cron jobs, and potentially python. Also, I probably want an online desk like cPanel.
