Web Hosting : Email Forwarding Issues

Hostgator and Bluehost are our best webhosts and godaddy.com is the best domain registrar.

I have a cPanel reseller account with a major host, and my email forwarding stopped working. I don’t know when it stopped, it might have been weeks ago, but nobody’s complained.

Here’s an example of a recent set-up. I set up a domain with a single mail account. It is set to bounce all mail not addressed to this account. This single account is set to forward all mail to a Gmail account, but the forwarding isn’t happening. I know it’s getting to the mail server as it finds it’s way into the right folder in cPanel’s webmail. But it doesn’t seem to forward past that.

My host is adamant that it’s not their issue. They have logs that prove the mails forwarded. They say Google is probably blocking the forwarded messages. I guess this is possible, but I’ve also tested on a POP3 account and a webmail account on a different domain. Forwarding doesn’t seem to work anywhere.
