I am so sorry to ask probably the most-asked question you ever see. But I really am confused trying to figure out what would be a reliable and customer-focused web hosting company for my new business. I have been a computer programmer for 28 years, but I know very little about the web business. I search in google for “best web hosts” and I get flooded by a ton of sites that are just there for referral bonuses.

My web site will be selling stock trading services and program packages. So I will need typical ecommerce features like streaming media, shopping cart, email handling, forums, etc. I can learn how to deal with databases and other OS-based stuff, but I don’t know if I need or want that complexity. I just need a site where we can advertise, sell from, and provide customer support – with some kind of help or templates building and setting it all up. I should be able to run and maintain it OK once it’s up.

Does anyone have a similar type site and is happy with their host?
