I’ve got a website on a server which I’ve been renting from for about a year, I just bought another server and got it setup…
I’m working on a new totally different version of this website, but I’m not ready for it to go live yet, however, I need to get the existing site off the old server now.
So i’ve setup a cpanel account on my new server with the site’s domain and put all of my NEW site files on there to work on… However, I need to get the old files on the new server asap… What can I do to transfer the old site to my new server, but without interfering with the DNS zone of my new site?
I want to be able to make a clean switch when I go from the old version of my site to the new.
I know this is confusing, just ask if you need elaboration…
