Web Hosting : the good the bad and the ugly

Hostgator and Bluehost are our best webhosts and godaddy.com is the best domain registrar.

I haven’t looked into the matter for over a year and, would like to update my little ‘the good the bad and the ugly” checklist of domain registrars.

last time i checked,…
Tucows & resellers were on the cheap but bad & ugly side of things
and OnlineNIC were bearable but wearing down.

If I had to make any changes to my 80+ domains right now, i’d probably go for SRSplus.com,

but, as said, thats also based on last info i collected over a year agao,

I’d be looking for

- Full nameserver control etc, would as a must, as is notification before expiry.
- free privacy protection would be nice incentive.
- Price if possible should be be over US$ 8
