Web Hosting : What low cost European VPS provider should I use

Hostgator and Bluehost are our best webhosts and godaddy.com is the best domain registrar.

My site won’t have too much traffic, at least in the beginning. That’s why I’m looking for a low cost VPS provider. It’s not that I can’t afford a more expensive service, but I don’t like spending more, if I don’t need to.

One of my options is CheapVPS, but 128MB is perhaps too low? Since I don’t have any experience with VPS solutions, it’s a bit difficult to estimate how much I need. The price of the next level is high enough so that other alternatives starts to look better.

How much memory is left on a VPS with a standard web server + database?
