Web Hosting : Will Dell Branded Hard Drives Work Properly in a Standard Server?

Hostgator and Bluehost are our best webhosts and godaddy.com is the best domain registrar.

I’ve seen some Dell Fujitsu & Seagate SAS 2.5″ hard drives for sale and was considering to purchase, but I do not know if they are 100% compatible with standard equipment.

From what I’ve read, these drives have Dell firmware on them and the firmware cannot be flashed back to the standard firmware for those model drives.

Will the Dell firmware cause an issue in non-Dell machines?

I just want to be sure that these Dell hard drives are fully 100% compatible and stable when used with non-Dell systems before I purchase.
