I did a search around here but this tool hasn’t been mentioned anywhere: NovaQuantum ARMS- Online multiserver GUI for MySQL.
It seems to be a quite a nice online tool for managing MySql servers, as long you have connectivity from a php server to your MySql servers…
I know about PhpMyAdmin, that is free, but this a totally new generation of tools Ajax based!

I am having a problem when I restore a database to a location that is a symbolic link. It appears DB2 is translating the symbolic link, and storing the container names using the “real” path. This is a problem because the plan is to mount this area in the location of the symbolic link in case of a disaster at the primary location.

Currently I am working with a DB2
V8.2 32 bit on aix. The application
does not allow me to upgrade to a 64 bit version of DB2 so tuning memory is a delicate matter.
I am concidering to activate connection concentrating (MAX CONNECTIONS MAX COORDAGENTS) and when I read this:DB2 UDB performance tuning scenarios: Part 1, DB2 UDB OLTP tuning illustrated with a Java program I understand that this will affect the sort-behaviour of DB2. What I do understand is that all sorts are private now (so only SORTHEAP is used). What I do not understand how sort is going to behave after my change: will all sorts be shared now? Will there be a mix of shared and private sorts?

DB21034E The command was processed as an SQL statement because it was not a
valid Command Line Processor
command. During SQL processing it returned
SQL20241N Writing a history file entry for dropped table
tablename failed. SQLSTATE=560C2
I also face similar error related to history tables when I take Backup
SQL2048N An error occurred while accessing object “db2rhist.asc”. Reason
code 2
Can somebody suggest me how to resolve these errors.

I have a function as below, which is working fine.
this function excutes a package to get all the column values for a given aid from procurementaction table and is stored in a variable l_pa
i select one of the column like awardnbr and display the value of it
my requirenment is in “l_pa.awardnbr”, i want function to take the column name from the input parameter, instead of hardcoding the column name
meaning it should say something like “select l_pa.p_col_name from dual

Query for last 7 hire dates

I have difficulty in creating a query for the question below, please can you help? You can also forward the suggested answers to my other e-mail address which is becktoria@cooltoad.com
Write a query that displays the employee id, last name, job id and hire date of all those employees who were hired within the last seven days of a month. Rename the Column names to appear as ID, Surname, Job Title and Date hired respectively.
