i cancelled my account with mochahost 3 days later i sign up and more then 30 days past but they didnt still refund. their support very bad… and they are company for crying 12$ im not posting this message to cry for $12 but i told them i will show what they did to everyone. I can also show paypal dispute they dont care anything they doing every trick to not pay back.

I have 3 VPS’s with Virpus, the first order went through very smoothly with no setup problems and all was running well. Due to this I decided to make another order with them, sadly this is where they go drastically downhill.
Upon ordering I had a 24+ hour wait for my VPS to be setup, in which time my tickets were not replied to regarding it. When the VPS was then setup I went to install Kloxo and I was reported back with MySQL problems, I contacted the technical support about this and asked if they could then install it for me, which they did.
When logging into the VPS all looked fine, I uploaded my backup data from my other VPS very good, and all looked to be working well. However, when my DNS chanegd from my old VPS to the new Virpus VPS all went horribly wrong.
I could not login to webmail as there was still a MySQL error, which their team seemed to ignore upon install and not look into, I submitted a ticket about this and it took them over 24hours to fix that, along with an ioncube loader error which didn’t seem to fix even after installing ioncube. They also fixed this at the same time.
Shortly after this was fixed through my Kloxo port and panel was reporting 500 errors so I was not able to access it. I told them about this and they said they are working on it, it has now been well over 48 hours and this has till not been fixed, I have had no replied from them in the past 12 hours regarding it, and before then I had many different members of staff updating the ticket saying they had been working on it. Even better still is the Kloxo port is now 100% unresponsive, it simple says the page cannot be displayed.

I got a VPS, coming from shared hosting, about 2 weeks ago so I’m fairly new to the VPS scene. With that said, my sites are primarily Wordpress powered and I’m having issues with file permissions. For example, enabling fancy permalinks, I’d have to manually create an .htaccess file, upload it to the server, chmod to writable, and only then will wp insert the necessary lines into the .htaccess file. Same with inserting photos in posts as wp failed to create the necessary folders in wp-content, so again, chmod to 777 and after the folders are created, back to 755.
Now, thing is, while I was on shared hosting, I never had to deal with any of this. Everything, including plugins like super cache, just simply *worked*. No warning messages fussing about so and so not being writable. Files were able to be written/created w/o a hitch. Is there something I’m missing that I should do to my VPS? Or is this all common stuff with a VPS and I just have to get used to it?

Something that is semi-managed would be prefered, we are an IT company but none of us are exactly Linux Guru’s so some help with any issues would be nice.
Good quality service and support is a must. I know thats asking for a lot right there and to make things worse: price wise we are looking to do this for as little as possible with room to upgrade as needed.
Please tell provide any recommendations you have or quotes if you are a VPS provider. We are looking to make the switch this weekend if we can find a good provider.

In on of the threads I read a comment a guy made, it contained a link to alphabetically listed hosts with their review threads. Can anyone direct me to it? I cant find it any more…
Another one was where a guy posted a review where he had a screenshot of the shell where he had ran commands, I wanted to try and run those linux commands on my machine but cant find the thread any more, have you noticed it anywhere? Or do you know what commands are usually used to show various vps server stats?

Since that review quite a bit at Directspace has changed they added a new bandwidth carrier, change there portal software and fixed a nagging issue I have been having since day one.
I was having a issue where the download speeds I was getting from my server would just hit a brick wall. They would be fine one day and then the next would be crawling to around 100 Kb/s. I always figured it was just a cogent issue, but after HE was installed I didn’t really notice any difference so I got Edward working on. He noticed that there was something funny going on with the ethernet cable so he swapped it out with a new one. Since then I have never had the download speed from my server go below 500 Kb/s, and most of the time it will max my connection at 1.2 Mb/s.

I am new in here and i am really need your help. I bought a dedicated server today and i have no ideas what to do.
let said i have domain demo123.com at namecheap.com and got a dedicated server from liquidweb
got my ip and root user name and password. login create a package, then create account for domain demo123.com what should i do next? i am very new to this please help me!!! what i do with nameserver?

So the topic says it all. I host a few sites for friends and family. Only really charge for a few of them at a minimal monthly fee on my dedicated server. I would like to know what software is recommended and used to graph websites then display the graph on a website the client can log in to. Something simple yet works very well and above all FREE. Iv already considered piwik but that seems a little complicated and never got through the entire setup process. (also had someone start to set it up but never finished so I removed it. Also it MUST BE SECURE. security is a big factor for me. If anyone could recommend something for me it would be greatly appreciated
