Hostgator and Bluehost are our best webhosts and godaddy.com is the best domain registrar.

I’m considering to offload images, or at least most images, from my server to a content delivery network.
Basically, what I would like to do is simply change the reference to my images from the main domain to cdn.domain.com and have the service running cdn.domain.com automatically fetch the image from my server if it’s not already on the edge server.
So, no uploading would be necessary, just run everything from my server as-is but reference the new subdomain and let the CDN system automatically do the rest in regards to copying images to the edge servers, etc.
Does anyone know if a service like that exists?
