Zpanel -If you truly cannot afford a commercial control panel but need one to help run your server, then Zpanel may be where you should start looking. Zpanel is made to function like Cpanel and has the basic features but lacks the polish and professionalism of Cpanel.

Zpanel has the basic DNS administration options, traceroutes, and pings and has some basic reseller features such as account limits and quotas. For end users Zpanel also offers a basic MYSQL database backup, ftp accounts, e-mails, and a file manager. Zpanel even has auto-installs for many of the popular scripts. However, in terms of features, it stops there. Zpanel lacks almost all of the billing options that true hosting companies and resellers need to manage a business. Also lacking in the features are important things like cron jobs and many server configuration options. The good thing about this panel is that it is open source so you can write your own add-ons to it and it is being constantly updated with user-requested features and it does work for both Linux and Windows. However using Zpanel will make people question the professionalism of your company. If you really don’t have the money, using Zpanel to hold you over until you can get something better is not a bad idea.
